Amendment No. 3   ARTICLE II, Members, Section 6

Section 6. Voting. For purposes of voting on any matter properly submitted to the members for their vote, consent, waiver, release or other action, each member shall have one vote.  Except as may be limited by law, members shall be entitled to vote on all matters upon which members are permitted to vote as set forth herein, provided they are members in good standing as defined in Article II, Section 1.   Voting by members may take place either by response to a written ballot properly returned by a member or by vote in person at a regular meeting or special meeting properly called as set forth herein. Voting Members shall be at least eighteen (18) years of age. All new Members shall receive voting privileges automatically thirty (30) days after receipt of their membership application.

 AMENDMENT No. ONE (1)    ARTICLE IV, Section 1   OFFICES AND OFFICERS

 Section 1. Election and Designation of Officers. The Members shall elect a President, Vice- President,     Secretary/Treasurer and such other officers as the Members may deem necessary.  All such Officers shall    serve as Directors and shall comprise the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.  All those seeking elective office at the Annual Meeting of Members shall inform the Secretary of their intent prior to the regular December meeting of the board or of the association, if the meeting is a public presentation, at which time the names of those running for office shall be made public and put forward to the membership. Officers shall be elected by a majority vote of the Members and shall hold offices for a term of two (2) years or until his or her successor is elected.  There shall be no term limits placed upon elected officers.  Only individuals living within the boundaries of Highland West, as defined in Article II hereof and are members in good standing as defined in Article II, Section 1, Paragraph A, Sub-paragraph 1, may be nominated and subsequently elected as an officer of the Highland West Civic Association.

AMENDMENT No. TWO (2)

Article IV, OFFICES AND OFFICERS, Section 1  (Restoration of Original Language)

Section 1. Election and Designation of Officers. Names of candidates shall be put into nomination by a special “Nominating Committee” which shall be created October prior to an election by members of the board.  The nominating committee shall not consist of any current officer holders or board members who intend to run for re-election, but rather composed of remaining board members.  Two (2) non-board members who are members in good standing and visibly active in the civic association may be chosen by the remaining board members serving on the nominating committee with unanimous consent.  During the months of October or November the nominating committee shall receive the names of those individuals seeking elective office in the association and may recruit new individuals who meet the criteria of the bylaws of the association to run for elective office.  It is the responsibility of the nominating committee to qualify the individuals seeking elective office and to complete the ballot for all positions up for election.  The Nominating Committee shall provide the names of the candidates to be brought before the Annual Meeting at the following regular December Board Meeting.  Upon the providing of the names for the ballot, the Nominating Committee shall be disbanded by the Board.  Officers and the Board Members at Large shall be elected by a majority vote of the Members and shall hold offices for a term of two (2) years or until his or her successor is elected.  There shall be no term limits placed upon elected officers.  Only individuals living within the boundaries of Highland West, as defined in Article II hereof, may be nominated and subsequently elected as officers and directors of The Highland West Civic Association.
